There are many strings…
My musical entrance began in the classical way. At the age of seven I learned how to play the wooden flute, and then I had to choose between the clarinet and guitar. I chose the guitar, something I do not regret. I learned notes and chords but at that time I was a not that interested in music and had absolutely no dreams about making music the most important part of my life. That changed after I met Per Berggrén. At 13 we started our first band, The Moondogs and since then everything has rolled on.
We have made 1000s of recordings with a wide variety of instruments, different band members and recording methods, lots of live performances, setbacks that have become embedded into our fragile self-confidence, successes that pushed us forward. But most of all, our tenacity and desire to create has never been lost. All adverse experiences in the arts that crossed our winding and meandering path weighs so lightly against the true artistic experience. When struggling so hard, when ”It’s impossible” echoes in your mind (check out Pers biography) we know one thing; that what we do now might be a true artistic experience in the future.
We have a lot of balls in the air at the same time: websites, videos, Black Pad Organ System, Ninni Daelander, theater, poetry, expanding the studio, learning new software and hardware. Our dreams and our reality often contradict one another. Our visions are woven into our music. And our music is the base where Ninni’s own material complements ours.
The electronic music is mixed with Ninni’s beautiful warm voice, which harmonizes with her guitar-based music, where the lyrics are like diary entries – revealing, strong, shocking. This website is meant to be like an amusement park, a place to innovate, a place to be constantly in motion, a platform where anyone who wants to follow our work in the studio can listen to our music and watch us on videos. This is my dream and I’m living the dream now.
